Centralized Waiting List

The City of Ottawa has introduced a mandatory new process for parents seeking child care. Child Care Information, a local non- profit program funded by the City of Ottawa is now responsible for managing a Centralized Waiting List for all Ottawa child care centres. The new service is designed to offer convenient one stop shopping for those seeking child care services. The service allows parents to simply complete one Centralized Waiting List form for multiple child care centers. Any child care centre you list will have access to your information, increasing your chances of receiving calls for spaces as they become available.

Parents seeking care at any of our child care programs are required to register with Child Care Information and be placed on the new Centralized Waiting List. Parents may choose to place their names on other centres waiting lists if they wish.

Before applying for the Centralized Waiting List, be sure to view the resources located on Child Care Information's website. To put your child on the waiting list, families can:

  1. Download an application form and mail or fax the completed form to Child Care Information
  2. Phone the office for a registration form, or have a counsellor assist you with the registration, or
  3. Visit Child Care Information's website to complete the on-line registration process

How to Register
