The Ottawa Catholic School Board is notified by the Ottawa Student Transportation Authority (OSTA) in the event of delays or cancellations to transportation service.

The status of regular yellow school bus transportation is continually updated in our Transportation Monitor feature, available on the our Board's website and on all school websites.

Please note that transportation cancellations due to bad weather or road conditions apply to the whole day. Details on cancellation decisions are also broadcasted over local radio stations. When school bus and small vehicle routes are cancelled, schools remain open for students.

Students who ride school buses/small vehicles should not be driven to school unless they can also be picked up at regular dismissal time.

Remember...always dress your child properly just in case inclement weather strikes!

The safety of all students is always the first consideration when making the decision to cancel school bus service. Transportation staff receives up-to-date weather information from Environment Canada when road conditions appear to be hazardous. Staff are in contact with other local school boards, school bus operators, and municipal road crews to review local conditions.
