A student's designated school (or "home" school) is determined by their home address and grade level. All students must begin the registration process at their home school. Our School Locator will show you which Ottawa Catholic School is your home school, and will provide a link to the school's website. If you wish to send your child to a school other than your home school for specific reasons such as caregiver issues, you must still register at your home school in order to begin the process of applying for a cross-boundary transfer. You can learn more about programming options such as French Immersion and support for English language learners by contacting your home school. While every attempt is made to provide accurate information, our Board does not assume liability for any unintentional errors or omissions to the data provided in the School Locator.
The School Locator provides information on attendance eligibility based on the residential address and grade level. Attendance information is provided for the junior and senior kindergarten levels through to Grade 12. To determine your home school for Junior and Senior Kindergarten, select 01 from the Grade dropdown list and contact your home school for specific program details. This is necessary as we phase in full day junior and senior kindergarten in all schools between now and September 2014.

Attendance eligibility displayed in the School Locator is valid for the current school year only. Attendance boundaries are reviewed annually by the Board's Planning and Facilities Department. Boundary adjustments and new residential street network data is continuously updated to provide the most accurate search results. Data for certain new home constructions or other anomalies may not be included. Official confirmation of school eligibility must be obtained by contacting the respective school.
If more than one school appears when using the School Locator, this means that you live in an area where you have a choice of schools. These areas sometimes exist to temporarily: i)alleviate overcrowding at area schools; ii) balance between schools; and/or iii) phase in a proposed boundary change. Once you choose to attend a particular school in an option area, you must remain at that school for the remainder of the program, unless you move to a new address. Contact the PlanningDepartment for information.
